Video: Saquon Barkley Reveals He Got Drug Tested by NFL After Viral Reverse Hurdle
It's not quite a time-honored tradition that when an athlete does something cool in their sport a random drug test will follow, but it does happen frequently enough to assume something is up.
In the aftermath of his viral reverse hurdle over a Jacksonville Jaguars defender on Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley revealed on the Air it Out show with AJ Greene and Justin Pugh that he had to submit a random drug test to the NFL (starts at 7:25 mark).

Barkley's hurdle over Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones is on the shortlist of coolest individual moments in an NFL game this season. It was his third move of the play after a juke made one defender miss which led right into a perfect spin move that had Devin Lloyd regretting the choices that led him to that moment.
In the same interview (starts at 8:10 mark), Barkley said he intended to do another spin move to avoid Jones but then instinct took over after realizing the Jaguars cornerback was going low and he just jumped over him while facing in the opposite direction.
While the play was rightly regarded as being cool, it also happened in the midst of what turned out to be a pivotal drive in the game. The Eagles were facing a third-and-6 from the Jaguars 44-yard line when they got 14 yards from Barkley.
The drive resulted in a field goal that put the Eagles up 10-0. They would hold on to win 28-23 when Nakobe Dean intercepted Trevor Lawrence's pass in the end zone with 1:42 remaining.
If not for the three points the Eagles got at the end of that drive, the Jaguars could have played for a field goal to win the game rather than take an aggressive shot at the end zone.
Barkley finished the day with a season-high 199 yards from scrimmage and two total touchdowns on 30 touches in the win.
