Falcons Hilariously Troll Cowboys After Win: 'Tough Week to Be a Yankees Fan'

The Atlanta Falcons' social media admin had jokes after the team's 27-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys, and the New York Yankees—fresh off their loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games during this week's World Series—caught a stray in the process.

In case the joke needs explaining, teams like the Cowboys, Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers and Duke men's basketball team—all very popular nationally—are often lumped together, with the assumption that if a person is a fan of one, they are probably a fan of them all. It's a knock on frontrunner fans who only support the most popular teams.

It's not such a great time to be a fan of the Cowboys, however, who are now just 3-5 on the season, about to face a divisional rival in the Philadelphia Eagles and may have to do so without quarterback Dak Prescott, who left Sunday's game with a hamstring injury.

WIth the Washington Commanders now 7-2 on the season and the Eagles 5-2 (and leading the Jacksonville Jaguars at the time of publication), the Cowboys can't afford another loss next week. Dallas is entering must-win territory, a pretty huge surprise just halfway through the season.
