New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye made a game-saving throw Sunday afternoon against the Tennessee Titans, tying the game at 17-17 and sending it into overtime. However, despite his impressive play, the Patriots fell short in a 20-17 overtime loss.

Maye's five-yard pass to Rhamondre Stevenson as time expired added to his 206-yard performance on Sunday.

Entering overtime, the Titans won the coin-toss and opted to start with the ball.

Following an opening drive in overtime that nearly resulted in a fumble, the Titans managed to score a field goal, giving Maye and the Patriots a chance to tie or win the game.

The rookie didn't have another big throw in him, throwing a game-ending interception on the Patriots' third play of overtime.

Maye, 22, finished Sunday's game completing 29 of 41 passes for 206 yards, one touchdown, one interception and two fumbles while rushing for 95 yards.

On the other side of the field, Mason Rudolph battled for the Titans, completing 20 of 33 passes for 240 yards, two touchdowns, one interception and one fumble.

The Patriots dropped to 2-7 on the season and the Titans improved to 2-6.

New England will look to bounce back next Sunday on the road against the 4-3 Bears.
