
Week 9 NFL Highlights 2024: Live Tracking Top Plays, Box Scores from Sunday Results
Week 9 of the NFL season is especially important for fans of the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys.
Despite entering the season with ultra-high expectations, both teams find themselves outside the current playoff hunt, with little margin for error.
In the 4 p.m. slate of Sunday's games, the Detroit Lions will face the Green Bay Packers in what's considered the game of the week, between two NFC powerhouses.
Sunday's slate of action includes 13 games total, topped off by a Colts-Vikings showdown on Sunday Night Football.

First Quarter
The Colts managed to march down the field on their first drive, but Minnesota's Harrison Smith recovered a botched handoff at the Vikings' 24-yard line to give Minnesota a chance to strike first:
But Sam Darnold and the offense made a mistake of their own and failed to capitalize on the turnover. After driving all the way to the Colts' 16-yard line, Darnold threw an interception to Zaire Franklin in the end zone:
Second Quarter
The turnovers continued in the second quarter as the Colts scored the first points of the game. Indianapolis' Grover Stewart forced Darnold to fumble with a big hit and Kenny Moore II scooped it up and took it to the endzone, giving the Colts a 7-0 lead:
Third Quarter
The Vikings got on the board early in the second half as Jordan Addison extended for an impressive touchdown pass from Darnold to tie the game:
Darnold found Justin Jefferson on a beautiful 41-yard pass to set the Vikings up near the goal line:
Minnesota scored a few plays later when Darnold connected with Jalen Nailor to make it 14-7:
Fourth Quarter
Colts' rookie receiver Adonai Mitchell made this outstanding catch to give Indianapolis some much-needed momentum:
The catch from Mitchell was a moot point after Joe Flacco threw an interception to Byron Murphy Jr. on the next play:
The Colts caught a break, though, as they got the ball right back after Darnold threw his second interception of the game:
Indianapolis capitalized off the turnover with a field goal, but a touchdown pass from Darnold to Josh Oliver made it a 21-10 game with just over two minutes to play:
