Spread: Minnesota (-5)

Over/Under: 46.5

Money Line: Minnesota (-218; bet $100, win 145.87), Indianapolis (+180; bet $100, win $280)

The Vikings are 5-2 against the spread in 2024.

Minnesota has also hit the over on three out of seven games.

As favorites, though, the Vikings have stumbled, going 2-2.

The Colts are even better against the spread, tallying a 7-1 record.

Indianapolis has hit the over three times and has won twice as the underdog in five tries this season.

Colts Props to Watch For

Josh Downs Over/Under 6.5 Receptions and Over/Under 61.5 Receiving Yards

Josh Downs has become the Colts' big-pay wide receiver and with Flacco back under center, will have plenty of opportunities to shine in Week 9.

The Vikings have a bottom-third pass defense and will concede yards and big plays to the Colts. Flacco has more pocket poise and awareness and will be able to find his receivers downfield, including Downs, who averages 58.5 yards per game on 5.3 catches.

He will have the opportunity for more.

Take the over on receptions and yards as he speeds past a Vikings defense that will struggle to contain the speedster.

Jonathan Taylor Over/Under 100.5 Rushing Yards and Over/Under 20.5 Receiving Yards

Jonathan Taylor has been Indianapolis' greatest weapon when healthy this season, as he reminded the Colts in Week 8 with a 105-yard performance against the Texans.

Taylor averages just over 90 yards per game on the ground and 17.8 yards receiving.

He will look to pick up where he left off against a Minnesota team giving up the third-fewest yards and touchdowns to opposing backs.

It will be more difficult as the Vikings are likely to load up the box and dare Flacco to beat them. He can, and may, but they will not allow Taylor to be the one who does it.

Take the under.

Vikings Props to Watch For

Justin Jefferson Over/Under 5.5 Receptions and Over/Under 92.5 Receiving Yards

The Colts have given up the seventh-most receiving yards this season with 1943 and Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson will look to take advantage of that flaw Sunday night.

The best receiver in the league, he will have the chance to hit 100 yards for the second time in as many weeks and find the end zone after being shut out by the Rams in Week 8.

The likelihood that he catches more than five and tallies more than 92 receiving yards seems rather high.

Take the over.

TJ Hockenson Over/Under 6.5 Receptions and Over/Under 56.6 Receiving Yards

The Colts have been susceptible to opposing tight ends, giving up 448 yards on 49 receptions this season.

In his first game of 2024, TJ Hockenson will have the chance to exploit that weakness and give Vikings quarterback Darnold another target to utilize as he seeks to pick the Colts' defense apart.

As it is his first game, however, set expectations to modest.

While the talented tight end will not be on a predetermined snap count per his head coach, he will not see as many plays as he otherwise might have had he been healthy.

Take the under on both and maybe add a touchdown as the Vikings look to get their start weapon back into the swing of things.
