Chiefs' Xavier Worthy Says Colts 'Hung Up the Phone in My Face' During NFL Draft
Kansas City Chiefs rookie wideout Xavier Worthy said he got a very strange call from an NFL team during April's draft.
"Draft day was crazy. I got a call at No. 15, it was the Indianapolis Colts—hung up the phone in my face," he said on The Rich Eisen Show Thursday. "It was a little crazy. ... The Colts called my phone on draft day and hung up the phone. They said, 'Hello, this is so and so with the Colts,' and then they stopped talking, and they hung up."

The Colts instead drafted pass-rusher Laiatu Latu, who has registered two sacks, 14 tackles, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in eight games while showing flashes of potentially being an excellent player off the edge.
So while the Colts likely don't regret their draft choice, the circumstances around calling Worthy are bizarre, to say the least. Wrong number, perhaps? Last minute change of heart? Cruel April Fools prank about a month too late?
OK, it's probably not that last one. But it's strange nonetheless.
