Liv Morgan Reveals She Signed New 5-Year WWE Contract Before Crown Jewel vs. Nia Jax

Liv Morgan won't be leaving WWE anytime soon.

The women's world champion revealed on the newest episode of Logan Paul's Impaulsive she signed a five-year extension with the company.

"I'd like to be in WWE as long as they'd allow me, but on the same token, I am preparing and thinking about life outside of WWE, which you know isn't going to be for a very, very long time, but as long as they'll have me, I'm gonna be in WWE," she said (via H Jenkins of Ringside News). I may retire after WWE. I may sit at home on my farm while my rentals pay my bills. Well, I just signed a new five-year deal, so my five-year plan is WWE."

PWInsider's Mike Johnson reported in September that WWE was looking to re-sign Morgan along with some other key stars in the women's division.

The 30-year-old's star is as bright as it has ever been. She won her first singles title at Money in the Bank in July 2022, but her ongoing feud with Rhea Ripley is what fully cemented her as one of the top talents within the division.

Morgan won the women's title for a second time at King and Queen of the Ring in May and then successfully defended the gold against Ripley at SummerSlam.

Her championship reign is going on 158 days and may not be ending anytime soon.

WWE announced Wednesday that Ripley is out indefinitely due to a fractured right orbital socket she suffered during a backstage attack by Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on NXT. If their storyline is on hold for the time being, then Morgan could plausibly stay the champion all the way up to the Royal Rumble in February or even WrestleMania 41.

Morgan's success in the ring this year is a sign of how highly the company values her. The extension points to how she'll continue to be a leading figure on the roster in the future.
