A week in fantasy football can sometimes feel like a pair of weirdos trying to rip the ball out of Mookie Betts' glove—just when you think you've got things under control, the fantasy gods attempt to rip victory from your grasp.

Injuries. Unexpected benchings. A lack of targets or touches. A spate of turnovers. And the list goes on.

Need some help bolstering your roster against the cruel whims of the fantasy gods?

Best Player In The Sport But He Still Isn't A Top-20 Quarterback In Fantasy And Is Down Multiple Weapons So His Fantasy Trade Value Remains Non-Existent

Trade Quick-Hitters

If you are looking for a big fish on the trade market who you might be able to get for a slight discount, target De'Von Achane, who has reached 23 or more fantasy points in all three games started by Tua Tagovailoa, in large part due to his involvement in the passing game:

Smart fantasy players aren't going to let him go for cheap, wise to his impact with Tagovailoa under center. But fantasy owners still feeling burnt by his lack of production while Tagovailoa was out might be tempted to sell at a discount.

With Anthony Richardson being benched, Josh Downs and Michael Pittman Jr. are two of the best trade targets on the market. Both posted double-digit fantasy points in all three of Joe Flacco's starts.

The one concern here is that Richardson could be given his starting job back at some point, considering he's a young player who was drafted to be the future of the franchise and desperately needs reps. But the Colts are in the playoff mix and Flacco gives them the best chance to win right now, so it's very possible he keeps this job the rest of the way. That scenario provides both Downs and Pittman with a huge fantasy boost.

There are so many reasons to love Joe Mixon, who has 23 or more fantasy points in four of the five games he's played this season. With Stefon Diggs out for the season due to a torn ACL, the Texans may need to rely on him even more heavily, though the eventual return of Nico Collins means C.J. Stroud still has weapons in the passing game.

You probably aren't going to get Mixon on discount, but it's possible he'll be a top-five fantasy running back the rest of the way. Don't be afraid to spend big to land him.

Unless you can get Diontae Johnson on the cheap, you may want to hold out on trading for him. The expectation is that he'll emerge as Baltimore's top option at wideout, but he's still on a run-first offense that is built around Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, and will be competing with players like Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely for targets.

Johnson upgrades Baltimore's passing attack, but whether that makes him a must-star player on fantasy remains to be seen. Buy now if you're a believer, but don't pay more than you'd offer for any other flex option.
