Ironically, Hurts said over the summer that one piece of advice Lurie offered him was to avoid the links.
"I was told not to golf by Mr. Lurieâfunny story, I'll tell you another day," he told reporters in August.
Hard to pass up the opportunity to golf with a former Nobel Peace Prize laureate and president, however, especially when he happens to be in town.
As for the Birds, the team is currently on a three-game winning streak after an up-and-down start to the season, most recently beating the Cincinnati Bengals 37-17 in an impressive showing on both sides of the ball.
Barkley, 27, has fit in perfectly with his new team, rushing for 766 yards (second in the NFL) and five touchdowns while adding 17 catches for 106 yards and another score.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Hurts has been fantastic in the three-game winning streak, with nine total touchdowns and no turnovers.
Suddenly, the 5-2 Eaglesâwho were causing flashbacks to 2023's meltdown after an inconsistent and choppy 2-2 start this yearâare starting to look like one of the top contenders in the NFC.
