ESPN Announces 'The Simpsons' Alternate Broadcast for Cowboys vs. Bengals in Week 14
When the 2024 NFL schedule was released, fans surely circled the Week 14 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys as a showdown featuring Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb and Homer Simpson.
Wait, what?
That's right, get ready to travel to Springfield during the broadcast of the Monday Night Football game, as ESPN and Disney announced it will feature a special The Simpsons Funday Football as an alternate broadcast.

"It's Bart and the Bengals versus Homer and the Cowboys," the announcement said.
While the Dec. 9 game will still be available in its traditional broadcast format on ESPN and ABC, The Simpsons Funday Football will be an alternate viewing presentation on Disney+ and ESPN+. It will also be available via mobile on NFL+.
Through the use of the NFL's Next Gen Stats, Sony's Beyond Sports and Sony's Hawk-Eye Innovations' optical tracking, the Bengals and Cowboys players will appear as animated players in real time at Atoms Stadium in Springfield.
What's more, Bart and Homer will replace a player and appear on the field with 10 teammates at certain points in the game.
They won't be the only iconic characters featured in the broadcast, as Marge and Lisa will be tasked with interviewing players while Maggie flies the SkyCam. Other characters will make appearances, as authentic Simpsons voices such as Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner and Yeardley Smith will be featured.
The Simpsons producers will also write original content to be included in the telecast, while players from the Bengals and Cowboys will have pre-recorded segments with the characters.
This isn't the first time Disney and ESPN have done something like this, as a game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons was presented as a Toy Story simulcast last year.
It produced a number of memorable moments and videos that added another element to the broadcast.
The Simpsons will look to do the same this year.
