Cowboys Exec: I Have 'Bad Feeling' This Could Be One of Those Years amid Struggles

Taylyn HadleyOct 28, 2024

Following the Dallas Cowboys' 30-24 primetime loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, it appears one team executive might be starting to lose faith in the Dak Prescott-led squad.

"I have this bad feeling that this could be one of those years," one Cowboys executive said, according to The Athletic's Michael Silver.

The Cowboys sit at 3-4 on the season including two blowout losses against the Detroit Lions (47-9) and the New Orleans Saints (44-19).

Cowboys fans are beginning to question the ability of a slowing down Prescott and their defense's inability to keep opposing teams out of the end zone.

However, aside from the 31-year-old Prescott and a few other veterans, the team is pretty young with an average age of 26.7.

"We're green," head coach Mike McCarthy told Silver following the teams' loss on Sunday. "We have a lot of young guys, and they've got to keep working. And we have a lot of veterans who are new, so they're adjusting, too. Our continuity isn't there, and that's gonna show up in run defense and running the ball."

With 10 games remaining in the season, the Cowboys will need a win next Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons to keep their fans on their side down the stretch.
