Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown made the game-winning touchdown catch on a Hail Mary pass from rookie Jayden Daniels against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, but he's giving credit to a veteran teammate for the play.

Brown told ESPN's John Keim and Courtney Cronin that Commanders tight end Zach Ertz helped tip the ball in his direction while fighting off multiple Bears defenders, allowing him to catch the game-winner in the end zone.

"Ertz did a great job getting his hand on the ball, allowing it to get back to me, and we made the play," Brown said.

Chicago had taken a 15-12 lead with 25 seconds left, so many believed a win for the Bears was a foregone conclusion. However, on the ensuing possession, Daniels completed two passes to Ertz and Terry McLaurin to move the ball to the 48-yard line.

With two seconds left on the clock when the ball was snapped, Daniels scrambled around before getting free to launch the 52-yard pass that miraculously landed in Brown's hands.

At 6-2, the Commanders now sit in first place in the NFC East. They will try to maintain their position when they meet the New York Giants (2-5) in a division matchup on Sunday.
