Ulbrich 'Pissed' After Aaron Rodgers, Jets Fall to Patriots for 5th Straight Loss

New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich wasn't happy after his team blew a fourth-quarter lead during a 25-22 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

"I'm pissed," Ulbrich told reporters after the game, per ESPN's Rich Cimini. "They're pissed. I'm hurt. They're hurt."

Despite the presence of Aaron Rodgers and recent blockbuster trade acquisition Davante Adams, New York suffered its fifth consecutive loss to drop to 2-6 on the season as a whole.

It was a disappointing loss for a Jets team that entered the season with playoff aspirations, falling to a New England squad that owned a 1-6 record prior to Sunday's win. Patriots starting quarterback Drake Maye suffered a concussion in the first quarter of the game and was forced to exit, but backup Jacoby Brissett still made enough plays to defeat New York.

After the Jets scored a touchdown to open up a five-point advantage with three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Brissett helped the Patriots march down the field before Rhamondre Stevenson ran into the end zone on fourth down to put New England back in front.

As for Rodgers, he finished 17-of-28 for 233 yards and two touchdowns without a turnover. The Jets amassed 89 more yards of total offense compared to the Patriots, but they repeatedly left points on the board as kicker Greg Zuerlein continued to struggle.

Zuerlein missed an extra point on New York's first touchdown of the game before missing a 44-yard field goal near the start of the fourth quarter. It was a rough performance from the veteran after he entered the contest with five missed field goals in the team's first seven games of the year.

The Jets fired former head coach Robert Saleh after a 2-3 start to the season, but New York has now lost all three games under Ulbrich and currently sits in last place in the AFC East.
