Jalen Hurts Praised by NFL Fans for Best Game of 2024 Season as Eagles Beat Bengals
The Philadelphia Eagles are rolling.
The Eagles defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 37-17 in Sunday's showdown at Paycor Stadium for their third consecutive victory. The Birds are now 5-2 after Jalen Hurts turned in a brilliant individual performance while throwing for 236 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions and running for 37 yards and three scores.
It wasn't just him, as Saquon Barkley ran for 108 yards against a Cincinnati team that fell to 3-5 and saw its own two-game winning streak come to an end.

Still, it was Hurts who drew plenty of love from social media:
While Hurts and the Eagles earned the win, it was Joe Burrow and the Bengals who set the initial tone with an incredible 17-play, 70-yard drive that lasted more than 10 minutes right out of the gates.
With Tee Higgins sidelined, the star quarterback found go-to receiver Ja'Marr Chase for the score, and it seemed as if Cincinnati would build on its winning streak.
Yet that momentum didn't last, as a missed Evan McPherson field goal and Hurts touchdown on a tush-push play meant the game was tied at halftime. There were only so many possessions to go around after the Bengals used most of the first quarter on a single drive, but Hurts and Co. responded in kind with their own long drive right before intermission.
And then the fireworks started.
Hurts and Burrow traded highlights in the third quarter, as the former used his legs for a touchdown run and also found DeVonta Smith for a 45-yard strike for another score. Smith came down with an incredible catch in single coverage and maintained possession as he went to the ground.
In between those touchdowns was a Chase Brown score after Burrow and Chase found some space in the Philadelphia secondary.
But that secondary then helped the visitors seize control, as Cooper DeJean made a monster play by tackling Chase short of the sticks on a fourth down before C.J. Gardner-Johnson picked off Burrow on a deep ball.
The Eagles parlayed the turnovers into a field goal and touchdown with the latter fittingly coming on a tush-push play for Hurts' third rushing score of the game. Just like that, a back-and-forth game was all but over as the NFC East team made quite the statement on the road.
It will look to keep rolling in another inter-conference game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
