Maxx Crosby Won't Be Traded By Raiders at Deadline amid NFL Rumors, Mark Davis Says

Taylyn HadleyOct 26, 2024

Following one of the biggest trades of the season, which sent Davante Adams to the New York Jets, the Las Vegas Raiders will not be trading Maxx Crosby, team owner Mark Davis told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"We're Not Trading Maxx Crosby," Davis said in an email to ESPN. "Before Or After The Trade Deadline!!!"

One source told Schefter "it would be beyond shocking" if the Raiders were to move Crosby before the Nov. 5 trade deadline.

The news comes after NFL Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported the Raiders have no plans to trade the three-time Pro Bowler.

The Raiders currently stand at 2-5 on the season and are on a three-game losing streak going into Sunday's game against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs.

It appears that Crosby will remain with the Raiders under his four-year, $94 million contract with team until the completion of the season.

Crosby has long been a major asset to the Raiders, and that has been no different this year. He's recorded 23 total tackles this season and 6.5 sacks.

Currently struggling at the quarterback position, after Aidan O'Connell was placed on injured reserve due to a thumb injury, backup Gardner Minshew stepped in against the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday and finished with 154 yards, three interceptions, one fumble and two sacks.

Leading up to the Nov. 5 trade deadline, potential trades for key players like Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett, and Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons have been shut down, despite circulating rumors, according to Rapoport and Pelissero.

The fate of several players remains uncertain, with some being mentioned as potential trade options, including New York Jets wide receiver Mike Williams, New England Patriots edge rusher Josh Uche, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn, and Carolina Panthers wide receivers Adam Thielen and Diontae Johnson, per Rapoport and Pelissero

The Raiders will look to grab its first win since Week 4 on Sunday.
