Kevin Durant Rejects Actor Lamorne Morris' Request for Jersey After Suns Win on Video

After helping to lead the Phoenix Suns to a hard-fought 116-113 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in Wednesday's season opener, star forward Kevin Durant wasn't willing to give up his battle armor.

As Durant was walking off the court, cameras caught actor Lamorne Morris asking him for his jersey. Durant politely declined, saying, "Gotta keep this one, baby!"

Morris, who is known for his role on the hit show New Girl, desperately replied, "I'll take the shoes!"

The two of them shared a laugh as Durant continued to make his way toward the locker room.

Like most NBA stars, Durant is often gracious in giving away his memorabilia, but it appeared that Wednesday night's game was a bit more meaningful to him.

Durant had a team-high 25 points while adding seven rebounds and three steals as the Suns got off to a 1-0 start. He uncharacteristically had seven turnovers, so he will look for a better outing when Phoenix returns to action on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.
