Raiders' Maxx Crosby Shuts Down Trade Rumors: 'What the F--k Has This Turned Into'

Part of being a star in the NFL is having to adjust to having your name in trade rumors, and Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end is no exception.

On his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby, he addressed the recent trade speculation and assured fans he has no interest in playing for another team.

"I'm sitting here innocently doing what I do. I feel like I have to address it with my teammates," Crosby said (28:00 mark). "I'm like, 'I'm not trying to leave,' you know what I mean? I know it's a business, I know I don't have 100 percent control, but I want to be here, I want to be in silver and black. I'll say it loud and clear I want to be a Raider... Just seeing all the craziness, it's been f--ing insane... What the f--k has this turned into?"

Crosby has most recently been linked to the Detroit Lions, who just lost star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson for the rest of the regular season due to a broken tibia and fibula.

ESPN's Adam Schefter recently reported that the Lions are seeking additional defensive help, but landing Crosby would be "unrealistic."

That should come as good news to both Raiders fans and Crosby, who has continually voiced his desire to stay in Las Vegas despite the team's struggles.

"You know where I want to be," Crosby said earlier in October, per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. "You think I want to be anywhere else? No. I got this s--t tatted on my body. I don't want to go anywhere...it's just funny. You've got a lot of people that have a lot to say when they really don't know what's going on."

Crosby, who has been with the Raiders his entire six-year career, is having another outstanding season after recording a career-high 14.5 sacks a year ago. He has 23 tackles and is on pace for a career-high in sacks with 6.5 so far.

The tremendous start to the year for Crosby hasn't translated to wins for the Raiders, who are 2-5 through their first seven games and have another thought opponent this week when they face the Kansas City Chiefs.
