Antonio Pierce, Raiders Criticized By NFL Fans for Loss vs. Rams After Davante Trade
Following the Las Vegas Raiders' 20-15 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, fans expressed their frustration towards head coach Antonio Pierce and the team after they traded away Davante Adams to the New York Jets.
The Raiders fall to 2-5 on the season as Matthew Stafford and the Rams improve to 2-4.
Quarterback Aidan O'Connell left Sunday's game after completing 6 of 10 passes for 52 yards, while Gardner Minshew stepped in and finished 15 for 34 with 154 yards, zero touchdowns, three interceptions and one fumble.
All 15 points by the Raiders came from kicker, Daniel Carlson.
Wide receiver Jakobi Meyers did not play due to an ankle injury, while Tre Tucker and DJ Turner combined for five receptions for 49 receiving yards.
Adams' last game with Las Vegas was during Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers, where he had four receptions for 40 yards in the 36-22 loss.
Following the Adams trade, fans were disheartened by the loss of a fan favorite, and after their defeat to the previously one-win Rams, many took to social media to vent their frustration, specifically targeting Minshew after his shaky performance.
Adams will make his debut with the Jets Sunday night as they face the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road and the Raiders will look to bounce back next Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
