Alabama's DeBoer Ripped by Fans as Tennessee Upsets Ryan Williams, Milroe, No. 7 Tide

No. 7 Alabama was unable to come back from a fourth-quarter deficit, losing to No. 11 Tennessee on the road by the final score of 24-17 on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide suffered their second loss of the season, falling to 5-2.

Jalen Milroe struggled with inaccuracy throughout the game, completing a season-low 55.6 percent of his throws for 239 yards and a touchdown to go along with two interceptions.

Ryan Williams was Milroe's top option in the pass game, as the standout freshman was targeted 20 times. He was only able to record eight catches for 73 yards and a touchdown, though.

It was a disappointing offensive performance from head coach Kalen DeBoer's squad, going up against a Volunteers team that entered the contest with the third-best scoring defense in the SEC.

The Crimson Tide were only able to muster 89 rush yards on 34 attempts, converting just three of 14 opportunities on third down.

Fans and former players called out DeBoer following the upset loss.

Alabama now has two losses through its first seven games. Per Yahoo Sports' Ross Dellenger, that occurred just once under legendary head coach Nick Saban in 2007.

The Crimson Tide will attempt to bounce back in their next game against No. 19 Missouri.
