Mike Tyson Drops Emotional 'Behind the Mike' Video Ahead of Jake Paul Netflix Fight
Ahead of his Nov. 15 fight against Jake Paul on Netflix, legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson returned to his roots and documented it in a six-minute video.
Tyson released an emotional Behind the Mike episode on Thursday that showed him visiting Catskill, New York, the birthplace of his iconic boxing career.
During the episode, Tyson paid respects to his late mentor Cus D'Amato and discussed how his teachings still influence him today. He reunited with old friends, spent time with fans and visited the gym where he first honed his incredible boxing skills.
Tyson and Paul were originally scheduled to face each other on July 20, but an ulcer flare-up forced the 58-year-old to withdraw from the match, and it was postponed to Nov. 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It will be the first live combat sports event to be streamed on Netflix.
Despite criticisms of the age gap between Tyson and the 27-year-old YouTuber, it's expected that the event will draw a major audience. Paul went as far as predicting that 25 million viewers would tune in, which would make it the most-watched boxing match of all time.
