Sean Payton 'Lost His F--king S--t' After 50-Point Dolphins Loss, Says Ex-Bronco

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton flips a switch during games from his calm demeanor to bringing out the fiery side of his personality, so it's no surprise that he was heated following an embarrassing loss.

A former Broncos player told ESPN's Katherine Terrell and Jeff Legwold that Payton didn't hold back his anger following the team's disappointing 70-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins in 2023.

"He lost his f--king s--t, like he couldn't believe it happened ... he was a part of something he couldn't believe," the player said. "I doubt he will ever be that mad at the team about anything more than that -- ever. I don't think he could see, he was so pissed, but he was letting people know if you're going to be around, you better fix that."

In that game against Denver, Miami set new franchise records for points and total yards in a single game with 726, so it's understandable that Payton was peeved in the aftermath.

Now in his second year at the helm of the Broncos, Payton has helped lead the team to a 3-3 start with rookie quarterback Bo Nix under center. Denver entered the year with low expectations, but the team's early success has been impressive.

Payton will try to lead the Broncos to victory on Thursday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints, whom he coached from 2006 to 2021 and led to a Super Bowl title.
