NFL Fans Debate Shedeur Sanders as Raiders' Pick in 2025 Draft After Davante Trade
After reportedly agreeing to trade star receiver Davante Adams to the New York Jets on Tuesday, the Las Vegas Raiders are headed for a rebuilding year that will likely culminate with a high selection in the 2025 NFL draft.
Without a quarterback of the future on the current roster, the Raiders are widely expected to be eyeing a signal-caller and could have a shot at some of the top prospects in the class.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, has been frequently linked to Las Vegas as he continues to establish himself as one of the best passers in college football.

Following the trade of Adams on Tuesday, fans on social media immediately began debating the possibility of seeing Sanders in the Silver & Black next year, with some believing it would be a no-brainer for the Raiders to add him in the draft:
However, some fans suggested that the Raiders are a less attractive team for a quarterback like Sanders after dealing away Adams, who is one of the best receivers in the NFL:
Sanders recently met Raiders owner Mark Davis during a Las Vegas Aces game and Davis told him, "Who knows? You might be home right now."
Sanders' legendary father, who is his head coach with the Buffaloes, said at Big 12 Media Days at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this summer that his son suiting up for the Raiders "would be nice."
It sounds like there's a strong chance that the Raiders will consider Sanders as they evaluate which quarterback they would want to build around for the next few years.
