Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary TD to Lazard for Jets Amazes LeBron James, Mahomes, NFL Fans

Scott PolacekOct 14, 2024

Nobody throws Hail Mary passes like Aaron Rodgers.

The New York Jets quarterback added to his resume with a 52-yard strike to Allen Lazard to end the first half of Monday's game against the Buffalo Bills. It cut the halftime deficit to 20-17 and gave the Jets momentum heading into the second half.

Social media had plenty of reactions to the play:

This is nothing new for the future Hall of Famer.

After all, he completed three critical Hail Mary passes during his time with the Green Bay Packers, one of which went to Richard Rodgers to stun the Detroit Lions. The others came in the playoffs with Jeff Janis catching one to force overtime against the Arizona Cardinals and Randall Cobb coming down with another.

There was some confusion at the end of Monday's pass, as one official ruled it incomplete and another said it was a touchdown. The ball did pop out after Lazard caught it, but the official discussed the play and ruled it a score.

It was the correct call, as the receiver had possession in the end zone before it was ripped out.

The end result was more Rodgers magic.
