Patriots' Douglas Would 'Run Through a Wall' for Drake Maye: 'He's Got That Swag'
Despite the New England Patriots' 41-21 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday, rookie quarterback Drake Maye impressed enough to earn his teammates' respect.
When asked about Maye after the game, second-year receiver DeMario Douglas told Mark Daniels of MassLive, "He's got that swag… I'll run through a wall for him."
In his first career NFL start, Maye completed 20 of his 33 passes for 243 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He also led the team with 38 rushing yards on five carries.

Buzz: Packers Wanted Chiefs' QB Pick
Douglas produced six catches for a career-high 92 yards and his first career touchdown, so it's clear why he enjoys life with Maye under center. However, the UNC product also brought a different energy to the Patriots offense than veteran Jacoby Brissett, who began the year as New England's starting quarterback before being replaced for Sunday's game against Houston.
The Patriots fell to 1-5 with the loss, but Maye will have a good chance to help them end a five-game skid when they meet the 1-5 Jacksonville Jaguars next Sunday in London.
