NFL Playoff Scenarios: Nightmare Divisional Round Matchups Nobody Wants to See

Ryan RudnanskyJun 7, 2018

If you could paint a picture, which NFL matchup would you detail?

We all know who's facing who in this season's Wild Card Round. Who would you like to see matched up in the divisional round?

There are plenty of scenarios that could unfold.

There are three of them that would be a bummer if they came true.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens

I'm as much a fan of defense as the next guy, so the fact that this will likely be low-scoring isn't the issue for me (it may be for some fans).

The issue for me is that I'm tired of hearing about the Steelers-Ravens rivalry. The players always talk trash before the game, they overreact when they make one big play and everything is overblown.

The Ravens have already beaten the Steelers twice this season. I really don't care who wins the third time.

2. Denver Broncos at New England Patriots

We've already seen what happens when Tim Tebow faces an elite team that can put up a boatload of points.

In short, he and the Broncos get blown out.

Tebow was horrid in Week 17 against the Kansas City Chiefs, going 6-of-22 for 60 yards and an interception. He's playing worse than he did against the Patriots.

We've already seen Tim Tebow versus Tom Brady. The outcome wouldn't change if they met again.

1. Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens

Not only will this likely be a low-scoring game given both teams have strong defenses, the Texans are starting a rookie quarterback in T.J. Yates and the Ravens are so inconsistent nobody knows which team is going to show up each week.

I think the Ravens will win regardless, but if the Ravens offense is also struggling, I may just be convinced to watch Jersey Shore for the first time. May.
