
PSU's Franklin Calls Tyler Warren '1 of the Best Players' in CFB After Historic Game
Following a 33-30 victory over the USC Trojans, Penn State Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin had high praise for his senior tight ends Tyler Warren.
"I've been talking about him being the best tight ends in college football," Franklin told reporters. "But the reality is, he's now part of a conversation of one of the best players in all of college football."
The 6'6" senior had 17 catches, which set a Penn State single-game record and tied the FBS record for tight ends. He also recorded 224 yards, the second most by any Penn State player in a single-game, along with one touchdown against the Trojans
In his 11th season with the Nittany Lions, Franklin holds a 94-39 record, including a 6-0 mark to start the 2024 season.
Franklin offered the highest praise for Warren on his monumental night, complimenting the tight end on his running, passing and blocking performances.
Warren and the Nittany Lions have a bye week coming up.
