Cowboys, Patriots Among 14 NFL Teams Scouting No. 2 Ohio State vs. No. 3 Oregon

Scouts from 14 NFL teams are in attendance at Saturday's Big Ten matchup between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Oregon, according to Bri Amaranthus of Sports Illustrated.

The Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Vikings, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be represented at the game, per Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors.

The Seahawks sent multiple representatives to the game, Hope noted.

The Buckeyes and Ducks, both undefeated, are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET in Eugene.

Senior transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel will be starting for the home team. He heads into the matchup having connected on 130 of 168 pass attempts for an FBS-best 77.8 completion percentage. His top target Tez Johnson is meanwhile coming into the game off back-to-back 100-yard game for the Ducks.

The visiting Ohio State offense is highlighted by true freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who has hauled in six receiving touchdowns while recording 19.7 yards per catch, and running back Quinshon Judkins, who is on pace for his third straight 1,000-rushing-yard season with 468 yards through five games.

Smith won't be eligible for the NFL draft until 2026. Gabriel, on the other hand, is in his final year of eligibility, so he, Johnson and Judkins have more than an undefeated record to play for as they work to up their draft stock ahead of the 2025 edition of the event taking place in Green Bay next spring.

The Ohio State-Oregon matchup wasn't the only CFB game that drew in NFL scouts as the college football season hits the halfway point, as noted by Bleacher Report and The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler.

Another major draw for scouts was Saturday's contest between No. 7 Alabama and South Carolina, as 15 representatives of NFL teams arrived to watch quarterback Jalen Milroe survive an attempted upset by the Gamecocks.
