The Rock Talks Confronting Reigns, Rhodes at WWE Bad Blood: 'See Ya Down the Road'
Following his surprise return to WWE programming last weekend at Bad Blood, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson addressed his appearance on social media.
In posts on his social media on Thursday, he included video of his return and the following caption:
"The show ain't over, until the Final Boss says it's over. There's no business like show business, and there's no connection stronger and more electrifying than that of the people and the people's champ. You can FEEL the MANA. FINAL BOSS. ENGAGED. See ya down the road."
The main event of Bad Blood featured two unlikely allies in Roman Reigns and undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes teaming up to take on Bloodline members Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
Thanks partly to a helping hand from the returning Jimmy Uso, Reigns and Rhodes were victorious. The Bloodline attempted to make Rhodes pay after the match by attacking him, but Reigns reluctantly intervened.
While Reigns, Rhodes and Uso stood tall in the ring, The Rock's theme music hit, and he emerged at the top of the ramp with the People's Championship draped over his shoulder.
Although The Final Boss didn't say anything, his actions spoke volumes, as he signaled "1, 2, 3" with his hand before making a throat-slashing motion. Bad Blood then went off the air leaving WWE fans wondering why he had returned and what his intentions were.
The Rock was last seen on the Raw after WrestleMania 40 in April. He interrupted a Rhodes promo and said their story was just beginning, which suggested he was targeting The American Nightmare and the WWE title.
The Final Boss and Reigns beat Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a tag team match in the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 40, but The Tribal Chief dropped the WWE Championship to The American Nightmare one night later.
Like The Rock, Reigns disappeared from WWE programming after that before returning at SummerSlam and targeting Sikoa, who took control of The Bloodline during his absence.
While The Rock clearly has issues with Rhodes, there is plenty of speculation that Reigns is now in his crosshairs as well since he is at odds with The Bloodline.
It is unclear when The Rock will be on WWE programming next, but with Raw making the move to Netflix in January, it would be a shock if The Great One is not on the debut episode.
