Video: Cowboys' Dak Prescott Watches as Mansion is Demolished; QB Building New Home
When you just signed an extension that will pay you $60 million annually, you can afford to take a perfectly fine mansion and knock it to the ground.
TMZ Sports reported Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott decided to demolish his residence in Prosper, Texas, "in order to rebuild a more modern home that's better suited for his current needs." The three-time Pro Bowler was on hand to watch the destruction unfold.
Per Teresa Gubbins of CultureMap Dallas, the mansion boasted five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms and measured 9,016 square feet.
Among the interior amenities were a game room, craft room and an entertainment area that boasted a projector and jumbotron. The property also includes a private pond and a football field that Prescott had installed.
Beyond wanting a more "modern" home, it's unclear why Prescott decided to literally rebuild from the ground up when he has made so many renovations since purchasing the estate in 2019. Equally ambiguous is where he and Sarah Jane Ramos will stay as the process is unfolding.
Prescott is stuck in Dallas through at least early January since that's as long as the NFL regular season runs.
