Dwight Howard, Stephen Nedoroscik Advance, Wow Fans in Dancing With The Stars Week 3
Week 3 of Dancing With the Stars' 33rd season concluded on Tuesday.
Ex-NBA player/five-time All-NBA First Team center Dwight Howard and American gymnast/pommel horse specialist Stephen Nedoroscik, who won two bronze medals at the Paris Summer Olympics, stayed alive in the competition.
This week was a two-night event. Night 1 on Monday was Soul Train Night. Nedoroscik received 30 points out of a possible 40, tying him for fourth in the 11-person field. Howard, who finished with the second-highest score in Weeks 1 and 2, struggled with just 23 points (second-lowest overall).
Night 2 saw Nedoroscik turn in one of his better performances, scoring 32 out of a possible 40 (fourth-best). Howard was seventh (29).
At the end of the night, actors Reginald VelJohnson and Eric Roberts were eliminated, cutting the field down to nine.
Athletes typically fare well on Dancing With the Stars, and this year is no different. Two-time Super Bowl champion wide receiver Danny Amendola and American rugby player Ilona Maher, also a bronze medalist, are also taking part this year.
Howard was one of the better performers early on, and Nedoroscik is steadily improving to the point where he could be in this in the later stages. Here's a look at some reaction to the two of them during and after their dances.
