After the New York Jets surprisingly fired head coach Robert Saleh on Tuesday, offensive tackle Mekhi Becton made it clear that there's no love lost on his end.

Becton, who began his career with the Jets and now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, tweeted then deleted a viral meme that let his feelings be known:

Becton dancing on Saleh's grave doesn't come as much of a surprise, as his tenure in New York was an overall disappointment.

Becton was selected by the Jets with the No. 11 pick in the 2020 NFL draft. After a promising rookie year, his second season in 2021 following Saleh's hiring was cut short after one game to a knee injury.

As Becton prepared for his return in the 2022 season, the Jets chose to move him from his usual left tackle position to the right side. The switch added more stress to his surgically repaired knee, and he suffered another injury during training camp that caused him to be placed on injured reserve and miss the entire 2022 campaign.

Becton made his triumphant return to the field in 2023, starting the season at right tackle. He was moved back to his natural left tackle position following an injury to veteran Duane Brown, but he wasn't as effective as he was during his rookie year. Across 16 games, he accounted for 12 offensive penalties.

After the Jets chose not to exercise the fifth-year option on his rookie deal, Becton became a free agent and signed with the Eagles in April. He's shown a willingness to accept whatever position the team needs, as he's currently Philadelphia's starting right guard.

While Saleh's firing caught many by surprise, it's clear that Becton won't be losing any sleep over it.
