Davante Adams Rumors: Raiders Want to Trade WR Within 'Next 48 Hours' Amid Jets Buzz
Las Vegas Raiders star receiver Davante Adams reportedly could be on the move sooner rather than later.
The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported, "As far as the Raiders and the receiver are concerned, they want him to have a new home some time in the next 48 hours."

Russini added that the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints remain Adams' preferred landing spots.
While Russini named the Jets and the Saints as "the favorites" to acquire Adams, she also noted that the Pittsburgh Steelers are "still firmly in the hunt." She also noted that the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills "aren't necessarily out of it."
The Raiders entered the 2024 season appearing to be resistant to trading away Adams, but things changed quickly. While the 31-year-old has been sidelined for the last two games with a hamstring injury, his relationship with the franchise deteriorated to the point where Las Vegas began informing teams that it would consider trading him, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported last week.
Russini stated that the Raiders are "still in search of a second-round pick as compensation" for Adams, but "the sense around the league is Las Vegas will probably end up with a third-rounder."
The Jets fell to 2-3 with a 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in London. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Adams' teammate during their time with the Green Bay Packers, threw for 244 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions while completing 29 of his 54 passes. He targeted star receiver Garrett Wilson a whopping 22 times, so it's clear that New York could use someone like Adams to add another dimension to the offense.
It sounds like things are moving quickly, and Adams could be wearing a new uniform at some point this week.
