Davante Adams Trade Rumors: Teams Feel Raiders WR 'Is Trying to Get to' Rodgers, Jets
Interested suitors are sensing Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has a preferred choice amid his ongoing trade saga, according to The MMQB's Albert Breer.
Breer reported Monday that the "perception across the teams involved holds that Adams is trying to get to the [New York] Jets," adding that the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers have reached out to the Raiders. Breer also cited the New Orleans Saints as a destination that may intrigue Adams, though "the Jets might be in the best position."
Adams and Aaron Rodgers spent eight seasons together with the Green Bay Packers, so he'd already have a strong rapport with his new quarterback in the Big Apple. Rodgers would undoubtedly benefit from a familiar face too.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The four-time MVP went 29-of-54 for 244 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. His final turnover to seal New York's defeat illustrated how he and the Jets' receivers are on a different wavelength right now.
Rodgers might be a lost cause at this point, at least within the context of him returning to an elite level. He's 40 years old and coming off a major Achilles injury. When the wear and tear is already adding up, bringing in a superstar wideout may not help matters much.
But the Jets painted themselves into a corner when they first acquired the surefire Hall of Famer. They knew they were working with a window that would last for only a few seasons, creating a situation where they'd need to make a lot of shortsighted win-now moves.
Trading for Adams would be one such transaction in a bid to get Rodgers back to his best.
