The pass from Love shows that he has a lot of trust in Reed. The second-year receiver was in double coverage and had another Ram just behind him, but he still somehow hauled in the pass.
Reed's impressive catch only added to what has been a strong second season in the league. He had 78 yards in Sunday's win, bringing his season total to 414 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The versatile player has also picked up 110 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
With his productive day on Sunday, Reed became the first player since 1985 to record 400 receiving yards and 100 rushing yards through the first five games of the season.
Reed had 793 receiving yards and eight touchdowns his rookie year, and he's well on his way to surpassing those numbers this season. He was Love's favorite target a year ago as he brought in 64 receptions, and it's been much of the same this year. The connection between the two was evident on Sunday.
The Packers improved to 3-2 with the win over Los Angeles, shaking off last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. They'll head back to Green Bay next week where they'll take on the Arizona Cardinals.
