Trevor Lawrence Praised by NFL Fans After Leading Jaguars to 1st 2024 Win vs. Colts

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence grabbed their first win of the season on Sunday in a 37-34 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.

The victory for Lawrence and the Jaguars is not only their first of the season, but it also marks Lawrence's first win in 315 days.

The Jaguars advance to 1-4 while the Colts and Joe Flacco drop to 2-3 on the season.

Lawrence finished Saturday's game completing 28 of 34 passes for 371 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.

Jacksonville drafted Lawrence with the No. 1 overall pick in 2021, and since then, the team has posted a 22-34 record, making the playoffs once in 2022 under the former Clemson Tiger.

Prior to Sunday's win over the Colts, Lawrence had failed to throw for more than 220 yards this season.

Lawrence has faced criticism from Jaguar fans all season, throwing at a career-low completion rate of 53 percent with six touchdowns and two interceptions over four games.Compounding the issue for the young quarterback is his shaky offensive line, which has already allowed him to be sacked 12 times this season.

Jaguar fans flooded social media, expressing their relief following the win and praising their fourth-year quarterback for his impressive comeback.

The Jaguars will face Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears next Sunday, Oct. 13 in London at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
