Florida State Loses to No. 15 Clemson as CFB Fans Call for Mike Norvell to Be Fired
The Clemson Tigers grabbed a 29-13 win over Florida State on Saturday with Seminoles quarterback DJ Uiagalelei sidelined with a hand injury.
Uiagalelei was ruled out after it was reported that he underwent hand surgery and would likely miss the remainder of the season, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz.
In his absence, freshman quarterback Brock Glenn earned his first start for the program on Saturday, finishing 23 of 41 for 228 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
The Tigers improved to 4-1 while the Seminoles dropped to 1-5 on the season, leaving FSU fans frustrated with the program.
Fifth-year head coach Mike Norvell is in the spotlight after FSU's lackluster performance on Saturday, with many fans calling for his dismissal.
Since joining the Seminoles in 2020, Norvell has compiled a 32-21 record, winning the 2023 ACC Coach of the Year and the 2023 Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year.
Over the past two seasons, the Seminoles have achieved a season-high AP poll ranking of No. 11 in 2022 and No. 3 in 2023. This year, they entered the preseason AP poll at No. 10. However, with only one win so far, fans are calling for a change—and they want it now.
FSU has much to adjust and consider as it heads into its Week 6 bye.
