Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Fined $25K by NFL for Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalties

Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb was fined $25,324 by the NFL for two separate unsportsmanlike conduct violations, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The violations occurred during Dallas' 20-15 win over the New York Giants in Week 4, which included a taunting penalty that came after Lamb scored a 55-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

The 25-year-old caught seven of his eight targets for 98 yards in addition to the score against the Giants.

According to the NFL's fines and appeals schedule, unsportsmanlike conduct carries a $14,069 fine for a first offense and taunting incurs a $11,255 fine following a first offense.

The unsportsmanlike conduct violation occurred after Lamb appeared to point finger guns after a first-down catch in the opening quarter of the game.

He wasn't the only player fined for the gesture, as New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard and New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore were both fined $14,069 for the same violation in Week 4 (via Pelissero).

Lamb was previously fined $22,511 for unnecessary roughness regarding the impermissible use of the helmet in Week 3.

The three-time Pro Bowl wideout shouldn't have any problems with paying the fine, as he signed a massive four-year contract extension worth $136 million on Aug. 26. His new deal represents the third-highest contract value among all wide receivers in the NFL, per Spotrac.

Although the Cowboys have dealt with inconsistency to start the season, Lamb has still thrived despite the team's 2-2 record. He's hauled in 20 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns through four appearances.

He'll attempt to help Dallas win two consecutive games during the team's next contest, a matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.
