Mayfield did not miss a play in the 36-30 overtime loss and finished 19-of-24 for 180 yards and three touchdowns.
Mayfield got twisted up during a sack during the game and limped off to the sideline. While he did return, it wasn't immediately clear if he was at risk of missing time beyond Week 5.
Losing the 29-year-old would be devastating to the Buccaneers' chances in a competitive NFC South. He has thrown for 1,164 yards with 11 touchdowns and just two interceptions while leading the Buccaneers to a 3-2 start to the season.
Tampa Bay and Atlanta both sit at 3-2 while the New Orleans Saints could get there with a Week 5 win.
Mayfield and the Buccaneers have nine days until they take on the Saints in Week 6 and will hope he is fully healthy.
