Report: Cameron, Cayden Boozer Expected to Choose Between Duke, Miami CBB on Oct. 10

Star prospects Cameron and Cayden Boozer, sons of former NBA star Carlos Boozer, are expected to make their college decisions next week.

According to college basketball insider Adam Zagoria, the twin brothers are considering Duke and Miami and are expected to announce their choice on Oct. 10.

Cameron is the No. 2 player and No. 1 power forward in the country and the No. 1 player in the state of Florida, per 247Sports Composite. Cayden is considered to be the No. 21 player and No. 4 point guard nationally and the No. 4 player in the state by 247Sports Composite.

Both brothers hold offers from top programs like North Carolina, Kentucky, Florida State and Arkansas, but ultimately have narrowed their list down to the Blue Devils and Hurricanes.

The two attend Columbus High School in Miami, so committing to Jim Larrañaga and the Canes would mean staying in their hometown. On the other hand, it's not often that players have the chance to play for the same school as their father, but the twins would do just that if they committed to Duke.

Boozer played for the Blue Devils from 1999 to 2002 under legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski, winning a national championship in 2001 before his successful NBA career.

Duke is now in a different era under new head coach Jon Scheyer, but the first two seasons of the Scheyer era have resulted in a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight berth last season. Cameron and Cayden could have the chance to help bring the Blue Devils their first championship since 2015.

Should the Boozer twins pick Duke, they would mark the first two commitments for the Blue Devils out of the Class of 2025, though plenty of talent would likely follow. Miami already has one commit out of the Class of 2025, 4-star shooting guard Matthew Able, and is hoping to add two more in Cayden and Cameron.
