To the victor go the spoils, and the latest spoils for Patrick Mahomes included watching his teammate put on a Texas Tech mascot head.

The two Chiefs stars were surely dialed in as their alma maters faced each other Saturday night in a back-and-forth thriller.
Texas Tech escaped with a dramatic 44-41 victory after Cincinnati's Nathan Hawks missed a 51-yard field goal as time expired. The Bearcats ultimately couldn't slow down the Red Raiders' offense with quarterback Behren Morton throwing for 251 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions and running back Tahj Brooks tallying 172 yards and two scores on the ground.
Bearcats quarterback Brendan Sorsby did what he could by throwing for 426 yards, four touchdowns and one interception, but it ultimately wasn't enough.
Mahomes also did some trash talking Saturday:
Fortunately for Kelce, his Chiefs are off to a better start than his Bearcats.
Kansas City is 4-0 on the season and has the opportunity to move to 5-0 ahead of its bye week with a Monday night game against the New Orleans Saints.
Kelce just posted his best individual game of the season with seven catches for 89 yards in Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers and will likely need to be more involved with wide receiver Rashee Rice sidelined by a knee injury.
