Davante Adams Landing Spots Debated by NFL Fans Amid Raiders Trade Rumors

Doric SamOct 1, 2024

The football world experienced a bit of a shake-up on Tuesday after a report revealed that Las Vegas Raiders star receiver Davante Adams could be on the verge of being traded.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Raiders "are growing open to the idea of trading" Adams and they have "begun reaching out to teams to gauge interest in the veteran wide receiver."

Adams also appeared on Up & Adams on Tuesday and told Kay Adams that he hasn't had communication with head coach Antonio Pierce or anyone else from the Raiders organization for quite some time.

Later on Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported that Adams had told the Raiders that he prefers to play elsewhere. A deal is reportedly not "imminent."

Naturally, football fans immediately began speculating on the possible landing spots for the six-time Pro Bowler, with many hoping that he would end up on their favorite team. The Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers were included among the teams that would be good fits for Adams:

At 31 years old, Adams is in the prime of his career and is still one of the best receivers in the NFL when healthy. However, the Raiders have an unstable quarterback situation and are not expected to contend for a playoff spot this year, which led many to question whether Adams will be used as a trade piece this season to build for the future.

It appears that we've reached that point, as the relationship between Adams and Las Vegas seems to be deteriorating quickly. The three-time first-team All-Pro would be a difference-maker on any team hoping to contend for a Super Bowl title this year, so he could be on the move well before the Nov. 5 trade deadline.
