Fans officially have a first look at Klay Thompson donning a Dallas Mavericks uniform.
The 34-year-old donned a Dallas jersey during the team's official media day on Monday, showing fans just how he will look in blue and white.
Thompson signed a three-year, $50 million deal with the Mavericks in free agency after spending the first 11 seasons of his career with the Golden State Warriors.
Thompson should add to a Mavericks team that already had stars in Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving and reached the NBA Finals in 2024. The Western Conference is full of star-studded rosters, but Thompson's presence makes Dallas even more formidable.
He averaged 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 77 games for the Warriors in 2023-24. He brings significant playoff experience as well and his four NBA Championships with the Warriors show that he can help the team in the high-stress points of the postseason.
Dallas will hope he can bring some of that magic he has shown in the past and take some pressure off of Irving and Dončić.
