The U.S. team entered the day with a lead of 11-7 and needed just 4.5 more points to emerge from the event with a victory.

The final point came from Keegan Bradley's 1-up win after Si Woo Kim was unable to sink a putt on the 18th hole.

"That was incredible," Bradley said after clinching the winning point. "I kept saying all week, I didn't know if I'd ever get to do this again. To be able to just play in this tournament and to win the point, my goodness. The last time I played, I was the point to lose the Ryder Cup. If this is my last round as a player, maybe it is, I'm happy with that."

Team captain Jim Furyk's group started the event off strong, with the United States sweeping every four-ball match on Thursday to take a 5-0 advantage. The International team quickly responded with a flawless performance on Friday, tying the overall score at 5-5.

It represented the first back-to-back days with a sweep in the history of the Presidents Cup.

Team USA was able to get back on track on Saturday, winning six of the eight matches to move in front once more.

The United States' team dominated throughout Sunday's singles matches, as Scheffler and Tony Finau were the only Americans to lose. Bradley, Patrick Cantlay, Russell Henley and Xander Schauffele picked up wins.

Schauffele and Cantlay, the No. 2 and No. 9 players in the World Golf Rankings, played large roles in the U.S. team's victory. They both finished with a 4-1 record throughout their respective matches and accounted for eight total points, sitting in a tie on top of the overall leaderboard.

The United States now owns an all-time record of 13-1-1 in the event.
