Video: Kai Cenat's Full Highlights, Press Conference from 1st Game at LBA
Twitch star Kai Cenat made his basketball debut on Saturday in the Little Ballers Association or LBA, a fictional league created by Cenat for streaming purposes.
After failing to be drafted among the top three, Cenat's first quarter may have highlighted why he was picked last instead.
In the first eight minutes, he recorded four fouls, zero points, and two rebounds as a member of the New York City Skyscrapers.
Cenat blamed the officials for being "too soft" (0:20 mark) in a post-game press conference.
"Man up," Cenat said. "... Basketball is a physical sport, you feel me, so when I do my thing, when I'm trying to block or get the ball it just happens."
The streamer closed out the first quarter by getting blocked by one of the kids drafted to the league.
Despite the looming threat of fouling out after the first quarter, Cenat and the Skyscrapers went on to defeat the Dallas Giants. He finished the game with eight points, 20 rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
At the end of the night, Cenat said that in order to prepare for his next game, he will look up a tutorial on how to play basketball and watch LeBron James and Anthony Edwards highlights in order to "lock in" (3:35 mark).
Cenat and the Skyscrapers will play again on Sunday night as he looks to redeem himself after a rough league debut.
