Jayden Daniels Matches Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Mahomes, Brees Stat in 3 Starts
Who doesn't love an obscure stat?
NFL on CBS pointed out on X how the Washington Commanders have gone two straight games effectively scoring on every offensive drive with quarterback Jayden Daniels at the helm.
That's apparently a rarer feat than you might realize considering Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees have combined for two such games throughout their entire careers:

The early returns on Daniels are promising. Through three starts, he has thrown for 664 yards and two touchdowns. His 80.3 percent completion rate is the highest in the NFL while he ranks seventh in QBR (67.9), per ESPN.com.
The No. 2 overall pick is also second on the Commanders in rushing with 171 yards and has helped to power a ground attack averaging the fifth-most yards per game (153.7).
The overreactions are already beginning with some questioning whether Daniels was actually the right choice for the Chicago Bears ahead of Caleb Williams in the 2024 NFL draft.
Without drawing too many conclusions, it looks like Washington found a long-term solution to resolve its revolving door at quarterback. Nobody will be happier to see that than wide receiver Terry McLaurin.
