Bills' Damar Hamlin Celebrated by NFL Fans After 1st Career INT vs. Lawrence, Jaguars
Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin added to his inspirational career during Monday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
During the second quarter with the Bills leading 20-3, Hamlin came up with his first career interception when Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence sailed a pass over his intended receiver's head:
After suffering a cardiac arrest on the field during a Monday Night Football game in the 2022 season, Hamlin spent the 2023 campaign working his way back into form. He earned the starting free safety job for the 2024 season, and things came full circle for him during Monday's game against Jacksonville.
Following Hamlin's interception, star quarterback Josh Allen and Khalil Shakir connected for a 27-3 lead to give the Bills a 27-3 lead.
Fans on social media were excited to celebrate Hamlin after his interception:
Hamlin's inspiring moment was a welcome addition to a long list of highlights for Buffalo in Monday's game against Jacksonville.
Allen threw three touchdowns in the first half, continuing to establish himself as the early favorite for NFL MVP. After starting the season with back-to-back wins, the Bills appear to be well on their way to remaining undefeated.
