NFL Fans Rip Raiders for Losing to Andy Dalton, Panthers with Bryce Young Benched

The Carolina Panthers pulled former No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young in favor of veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, and the change worked.

The Panthers trounced the Las Vegas Raiders 36-22 on Sunday, giving Carolina its first win of the season and marking its highest-scoring game since the 2022 season.

Dalton, who sat behind Young a season ago, had 319 passing yards and three touchdowns, becoming the first quarterback this season to throw for 300-plus yards and three or more touchdowns in a single game.

The Panthers appeared to be on their way to another historically bad year in 2024 after losing by 20 or more points in their first two games, but perhaps the move to Dalton will change the course of their season.

After the Raiders lost in embarrassing fashion, NFL fans ripped head coach Antonio Pierce and Las Vegas for failing to get a win in what should have been a manageable game.

Perhaps Sunday's game was just a fluke loss for the Raiders, but the Panthers looked composed with Dalton under center, and they'll look to keep that composure and right the ship after last season's disaster.

Las Vegas has put together a confusing two weeks, beating the Baltimore Ravens last week before coming up short against the Panthers this week. The Raiders, like Carolina, are looking to get back on track after years of struggle, but Sunday's result isn't a good indication that they will do so this year.
