Video: Colorado's Shedeur Sanders Stuns Fans with Hail Mary TD to Force OT vs. Baylor
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders forced overtime on Saturday night with a last-second Hail Mary touchdown pass against Baylor, leaving the internet stunned in the process.
What's more, the Buffs came back to win 38-31 in overtime.
Sanders' 43-yard pass to LaJohntay Wester and the extra point from Alejandro Mata evened the score as time expired.
The game-saving throw marked Sanders' second touchdown of the night.
He finished the victory with 341 yards and no interceptions on 25-of-41 passing.
Sanders headed into the Week 4 game leading all college quarterbacks with 85 completions for 999 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions.
Although those stats included Sanders' 445-yard, four-touchdown season opening win over North Dakota State, the completed Hail Mary pass against Baylor was arguably Sanders' most impressive play of the season so far.
The B/R NFL Scouting Department did not project Sanders as a top round pick in their early 2025 NFL mock draft, but that could change by the end of the season if Sanders' stock continues to rise.
The Colorado quarterback is expected to enter the 2025 NFL draft alongside other Buffaloes including fellow star Travis Hunter.
Sanders and the Buffaloes are back in action on the road next Saturday as Big 12 play begins against UCF.
