NBA Rumors: Warriors Consider Justin Holiday, Nassir Little Contracts Ahead of Season

Jack MurraySep 20, 2024

The Golden State Warriors are looking to add some veteran depth for the 2024-25 NBA season.

Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported that the team has brought in several players for workouts, including Justin Holiday and Nassir Little.

"As has become September tradition, the Golden State Warriors' practice facility is currently filled with high-energy scrimmages on a regular basis, mixing roster guys with younger players and veteran free agents still in search of a camp invite," Slater wrote. "Justin Holiday and Nassir Little, league sources told The Athletic, are among the several experienced wings who have shuffled through San Francisco in recent weeks."

Holiday has spent 11 seasons in the NBA and has played for 10 teams during his career, including a stint with the Warriors in 2014-15. He has averaged eight points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 680 games and the 35-year-old could bring some solid experience to the bench.

Little could be viewed as more of a reclamation project as he is just 24-years-old and a former first-round pick. He has played five NBA seasons, averaging 5.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 237 games.

Both players could be signed to low-cost deals but would need to unseat some players from the current roster. The Warriors will not be able to fill the 15th roster spot due to being locked at the first cap apron and only two players have non-guaranteed contracts for 2024-25, per Slater.

Still, Holiday, Little and others will hope they can show something to the Warriors brass and make a case to revitalize their career with the franchise.
