Tom Brady: Bill Belichick Has Done 'Amazing Job' in Media After NFL Coaching Career

Scott PolacekSep 17, 2024

Tom Brady learned from Bill Belichick for much of his playing career, and now the legendary quarterback recognizes he can pick things up from his former New England Patriots coach as he begins his media career as a Fox broadcaster.

Brady opened up about Belichick's ventures in the media on Monday's episode of the Let's Go! podcast (1:50 mark).

"I actually think coach has done an amazing job in the roles that he's been in and just so insightful," he said. "All his experience over so many years, I don't think you could have a better person be involved for the public to actually listen to how games are being called.

"He's got so much insight into the history of the game, and I've learned a lot seeing it sitting in those team meeting rooms for 20 years and I love the fact that so many people sitting around many days of the week listen to him now educate the people on what football's really all about. It's such an awesome sport, so he's doing a great job."

Belichick and the Patriots went their separate ways this offseason, but the all-time great coach has remained close to the game through a number of media roles.

He co-hosts the studio show The Breakdown with Peyton and Belichick with Peyton Manning and is a regular guest on ManningCast during Monday night games. He also appears on the Let's Go! podcast, appears on Inside the NFL and makes appearances with Pat McAfee.

Perhaps Belichick will be back on the sidelines as soon as next season as the next group of NFL teams looking for coaches explores their options, but he is taking advantage of his time away with no shortage of media obligations.

And Brady has noticed as he starts the next chapter of his career on Fox.

The former quarterback has been in the booth for the first two Dallas Cowboys games of the season and will be there once again when the NFC East team takes on the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3.
